These are usually the more creative of the inventors. That does not mean, or even imply, that they are smarter, it generally means they have a knack for looking at most anything in different ways than most people.

Where most people see a herd of cows grazing in a field, these people see a source of poop for turning into methane gas to run our cars and heat our homes.

The first thing we need to do is communicate

I need to understand a little about your business and what area for ideas you desire. Some companies want new products that are similar to their current product line and other companies want to diversify into entirely different product areas.

Once I understand your desires, I will then do some preliminary research and determine if we should pursue this further. This generally takes on the order of a week.

I then present ideas to you to determine your interest and to prioritize the ideas if there are more than one you wish to pursue.

You then take the ideas and generate a five (5) year forecast for the resulting product(s).

I receive an upfront payment that is based on the market forecast for the product(s).

The upfront payment and milestone payments are not an advance against future royalties.

You tool up and start producing the product(s).

I receive the following additional milestone payments:

1. Payment when the utility patent is filed
2. Payment when the product is available in the market.
3. Payment when the patent is issued
